Ucal Exports Pvt. Ltd. is on the 7th floor of the Sigma Wing in Raheja Tower. We are located at No. 177 Anna Salai. Being in such a tall building in the middle of Chennai is quite a change from the smaller spots. But inside, our office is just like any other workspace. It’s full of desks, computers, and stacks of paper. We handle a lot of export business, which keeps us very busy. From the 7th floor, we can see all the traffic moving on Anna Salai. It’s a good reminder of how fast things move. Our daily routine involves a lot of emailing and international calls. Because of the time differences, some of us stay late or come in very early. It’s not a corporate showroom; it’s a place where we actually work. We don't wear formal suits unless there’s a very specific reason. Most of us just wear regular clothes. There’s a small area where we have our lunch and talk about the weekend. We don't have a lot of big slogans on the walls. We just focus on getting the shipping documents right and making sure the cargo moves. It’s a lot of pressure sometimes, but we’ve got a good group here who knows how to handle it. We just take things one day at a time and keep moving forward.
