Swamy Plastics

If you ever find yourself near the Flower Bus Stand on Anderson Street, you’ve probably walked right past Swamy Plastics. We are at number 17, and it is a very busy little corner of the world. There is always the sound of buses pulling in and out, and the smell of the flowers from the vendors nearby is actually quite nice most mornings. We deal with all sorts of plastic items. Our shop is usually overflowing with bins, containers, and various household things made of plastic. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes because we try to fit so much into a small space, but we know where everything is if you ask. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Most of our customers are just people passing through the bus stand who realize they need a bucket or some storage boxes for their house. We open up early because the bus stand starts getting busy before the sun is even fully up. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll often see one of us sitting on a stool near the entrance, just watching the crowds go by. The floor is concrete and a bit worn down, and the shelves are just basic metal ones we put up years ago. It’s a simple shop for simple needs, and we like it that way.
