Our office is tucked away on 3rd Street in Kamdar Nagar, which is part of the Nungambakkam area. The address is No 88/98. It is one of those streets that can be a bit hard to find if you aren't looking for it. Nungambakkam is always bustling, but Kamdar Nagar is a bit more tucked in. We have a small team of architects and designers working here. The space is filled with catalogs for furniture and binders full of old projects. We spend a lot of time arguing over where a window should go or what color a wall needs to be. It is not always glamorous. A lot of the time we are just staring at screens or trying to get a printer to work. We have been in this building for a while now. The rooms have high ceilings which helps with the heat, but we still rely on the fans quite a bit. People in the neighborhood often see us carrying long tubes of drawings back and forth. We don't have a big marketing team or anything. It's just us doing the work and talking to people who want to change their space. We drink a lot of coffee and try to stay on top of the deadlines. It's a simple life of design and planning in a busy part of Chennai. We aren't trying to change the world, just making buildings better.
