Analytical Instrument Services is tucked away at H-18/4, Arundale Nagar. We are right in the Kalakshetra Colony area of Besant Nagar. It is a nice part of the city, close enough to the sea that you can sometimes feel the breeze. Our work is mostly about fixing things. We deal with analytical instruments, which are basically just very sensitive machines that need a lot of attention. People bring them to us when they stop working or when the readings don't look right. We have benches covered in screwdrivers, soldering irons, and wires. It’s not the cleanest office you’ve ever seen. There are usually parts of machines scattered around while we wait for a spare piece to arrive. We don't have a big staff. It's just a few of us who know how these things are put together. We spend a lot of time looking through manuals and squinting at small components. Besant Nagar is a busy place, but once you step inside our workshop, it’s mostly just the sound of someone humming or a fan running. We don’t do much in the way of promotion. Most people find us because someone else told them we could fix their gear. We just try to get the instruments back to their owners as soon as we can. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday, often working well into the evening to finish up a complicated repair job for a client.
