Ammayapper Roadways Private Limited is based out of Gopalapuram, right here on West End Street. Chennai traffic is something we deal with every single day, so being centrally located at No: 8 helps us keep track of things. We’ve been in the transport business long enough to know that things rarely go exactly as planned on the road. There’s always a delay somewhere or a truck that needs a bit of extra attention, but we just get on with it. Our office isn’t anything too special to look at, just a place where we handle the paperwork and coordinate with the drivers. We focus on moving goods from one point to another without making a big fuss about it. The streets in Chennai can be tight, especially around our area, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the city over the years. We started this because there was a need for steady transport services, and we’ve stuck with it through the ups and downs. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking schedules to make sure everything is where it should be. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do because it’s pretty straightforward. Having trucks, keeping drivers on schedule, and moving stuff is really all there is to it at the end of the day. It’s a job like any other that keeps us working hard into the evening.
