Shri Jagadamba Enterprises

Our shop is at No. 4/7 Ramamoorthy Street, right in the heart of the Ramapuram area. It’s a narrow street, so things can get a bit tight when the delivery vans show up. We’ve been running Shri Jagadamba Enterprises as a family for some time now. We stock a bit of everything that the local builders and house owners might need. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, and we use a wooden ladder that’s seen better days to reach the top. There’s always someone coming in asking for a specific bolt or a piece of hardware. We know the neighborhood well since most of us grew up around Ambattur. The shop stays quite cool because of the old stone floor, which is nice in the afternoons. We don't really have a big team, just a couple of us and a helper who comes in the mornings. Sometimes we lose track of time talking to the neighbors who stop by for a chat. It’s more than just a business to us; it's where we spend most of our waking hours. We don't use any fancy computers for the inventory, just a big ledger book where we write everything down. If you need something, you just have to ask, and we'll dig through the boxes until we find it. It might take a minute, but we usually have what’s needed tucked away somewhere in the back.
