Sumakam Automation Technologies

Our workshop is located in the New Tiny Sector of the Ambattur Industrial Estate. It’s a bit of a maze back here, and No. 254 can be hard to spot if you aren't looking closely. Being in an industrial area like this means there is always the sound of metal clicking or engines running nearby. At Sumakam Automation Technologies, we spend our days working with various bits of hardware and sensors. Sometimes the floor is a bit greasy, and our clothes usually have a few stains by the end of the day. We are just a small group of people who enjoy figuring out how things move and work together. It isn’t the kind of place where you’d find a clean suit or a polished reception desk. We use old wooden tables for our assembly work. The light isn't always great in the back corner, so we use extra lamps when we're doing the fine wiring. Ambattur is a tough place to work during the monsoon because the roads get messy, but we still show up and get to it. We keep our coffee mugs on the same benches where we do our testing. It’s just a regular local business trying to keep up with the orders that come through. We don't talk much during the shift; everyone is usually focused on their own bench and whatever they are trying to put together. It’s quiet work in a loud neighborhood, and we like it that way.
