Amazing Stones

Our place is at 4/1014 in Jeevan Bhima Nagar, which is over in the Anna Nagar Western Extension area. It’s a nice enough spot, though finding parking on the street can be a bit of a headache some days. We’ve got stones of all sizes sitting around the place, some of them are quite heavy and take a couple of us to move. The floor usually has a bit of grit or sand on it because that’s just the nature of working with these materials. We don’t have a big, fancy display room with bright lights; it’s more of a practical space where you can see the slabs as they really are. Some of the pieces have been sitting for a while, waiting for the right person to come along and take them. We spend a lot of time out there with a tape measure, checking dimensions and marking things down in a notebook that’s getting a bit worn out. The local kids sometimes stop to look at the different colors of the rocks through the door. It’s a pretty straightforward way to spend the day, just managing the stock and talking to people who walk in. We keep a fan going in the corner to move the air around, and there’s usually a half-finished cup of coffee sitting on the main desk. It’s just us doing our thing in Anna Nagar. We try to keep things tidy but the dust always finds a way in.
