Al Hayy Architects

We are over here in Safi House on the second floor. If you know Anna Salai, you know how the traffic gets during the day. It is a busy spot right opposite the Congress Ground. Mostly, our days at Al Hayy Architects are spent at these desks looking at drawings or talking to people about where their walls should go. It is not a fancy setup, just a working office with plenty of paper and some old computers. Usually, one of us is out at a site checking on things while the others stay here to handle the phone or walk-ins. Teynampet has that specific energy where everything feels like it is moving fast. We have been in this building for a while now. The stairs can be a bit much when the lift is acting up, but you get used to it. We do not really do the big sales pitches. People just come in because they heard about us or saw the board outside while stuck in traffic. It gets hot in the afternoons, so the fans are always on full blast. We just try to get the dimensions right and make sure the structural stuff makes sense. It is a lot of coordination with contractors and making sure the client understands what is possible on their land. That is pretty much how it goes for us from Monday to Saturday in this corner of Chennai.
