Akshara Industries Ltd.,Chennai is actually located a bit outside the main city. We are based in At-Eguvarpalayam Village-9, which is in the Gummudipoondi Taluk area. It's up in the Thiruvallur District. Being out here in the village means we have a bit more space, which is good for the kind of industrial work we do. It takes some time to drive out here from the middle of Chennai, but we are used to it by now. The pin code is 601212 if you are looking for us on a map. We have a lot of local folks from the village working with us. It's a quiet area mostly, except for the sounds coming from our plant. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with fancy slogans. We just focus on the daily tasks at hand. There is always a lot of dust and noise, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. Sometimes the power goes out or the roads get a bit messy during the monsoon season, but we manage to keep things going. We’ve been part of this community for a while now. Most people around Gummudipoondi know where we are. We just want to do our work, look after our people, and make sure we are doing a decent job.
