A.K International is situated at 117 G.P. Road, near Majestic Mension Road. It's an old part of the city, so the streets are narrow and always full of people. Our office is tucked away in a building that has seen better days, but it serves its purpose. We deal with international trade, which means a lot of phone calls at odd hours because of the time zones. Most of the day is spent checking documents and making sure the shipping labels are correct. It’s a lot of paperwork, to be honest. We have stacks of files on the desks and sometimes it feels like we're drowning in them. The fans overhead hum all day long. We don't have a big sign outside, so you have to look for the number 117 to find us. It’s a small operation, just a handful of us sitting in a room with a few computers. We get our lunch from the vendor downstairs most days. The work can be stressful when a shipment gets stuck at the port, but we just handle it one step at a time. G.P. Road is always loud with horns and people shouting, but once you're inside, it’s a bit quieter. We’ve been doing this for years and have seen the market go up and down. We don't try to be anything we're not. We just move goods from one place to another and try to get the details right. It’s just how we operate here on G.P. Road.
