Ahmed Brothers Exports

If you know Moore Street in Mannady, you know it is always crowded and noisy. That is where you will find Ahmed Brothers Exports at No. 12/72. It is a busy street with people constantly moving and trucks trying to get through the narrow lanes. We have been in this spot for years. The building is narrow, but it goes back quite a bit, so we have more room than it looks from the outside. My brothers and I run the place together, so it is a real family thing. We are usually yelling over the noise of the street just to talk to each other. It is a lot of work keeping track of everything coming in. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the manifests. Since we are in Mannady, everything is fast-paced. We do not have fancy office chairs or anything like that, just some sturdy wooden desks and a lot of shelves. Sometimes the heat in these old buildings is tough, but we have a couple of good fans going to help us out. We usually eat our lunch together in the back office. We know all the other shop owners on Moore Street, so it feels like a community. It is a bit of a grind, dealing with the traffic and the logistics every single day, but we are used to it. We just focus on getting things out the door.
