If you walk down Kattur Adayappan Street in Periamet, you’ll find us at number 45. It’s a busy part of Chennai, and there is always something going on outside. Our space is mostly filled with packages of all sizes and the sound of labels being printed. Courier work is basically just a race against the clock, but we don’t always win because of the traffic on the main roads. We spend our days sorting through deliveries and making sure the bikes are ready to go. The office isn't anything special to look at. It’s got some shelves, a few tired chairs, and a lot of clipboards. We’ve been in Periamet long enough to know the shortcuts around the neighborhood, which helps. It gets incredibly hot here, so the air conditioning is always fighting a losing battle. We don’t use fancy slogans; we just try to get the bags out the door before the final pickup. Sometimes the rain slows everything down, or a delivery address is hard to find, and we just have to deal with it. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and checking tracking numbers. We are just a group of people working in a crowded street in Chennai, trying to keep up with the parcels coming in. There is always another box to scan and another bike to load before we can close up.
