If you find yourself in Adyar, we are over at No. 17 First Main Road in Kasturba Nagar. It is actually a pretty quiet street compared to the main parts of Chennai. There are some big trees outside that give a bit of shade, which we really appreciate during the summer months. Our office is inside an older house that was converted for business use. We have several rooms for different things, but most of us stay in the front area where the light is better for reading. We deal with exports, so there is a lot of back-and-forth with the ports and customs. The phone rings a lot, and someone is usually running out to drop off documents at the last minute. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee in the mornings. It’s not a corporate skyscraper or anything like that. It just feels like a regular place where people work hard. Sometimes the parking on First Main Road is a nightmare, so we tell people to come early if they are visiting us. We have a few cats that hang around the gate, and we give them some food now and then. It’s just the way things are at Micafab Export Pvt. Ltd. We don't have any big slogans or fancy mission statements. We just try to keep the business running smoothly day after day without any major issues. The neighbors are mostly offices too, so it stays pretty quiet.
