Our office is at No. 21 on the 1st Main Road, inside the Krishna Apartments in Karpagam Gardens, Adyar. It is a quiet residential area, so we try not to make too much noise. We are on the first floor, and it feels more like a home than a business place. We have a couple of rooms filled with computers and filing cabinets. Because we are in Adyar, the traffic getting here can be a real pain in the evenings, but the mornings are quite peaceful. We handle export stuff, mostly dealing with the documents and the logistics side of things. We don't have a big warehouse here; it is mostly for the administrative part of the job. We spend most of our time on the computer or talking to people at the port. It is a small team, just four of us, and we have worked together for a long time. We don't have a mission statement or any of that corporate talk. We just show up, see what needs to be done, and do it. Sometimes we go for a walk in the gardens during our break just to get some fresh air. It is a decent place to work. We try to keep things organized, but there is always a pile of papers that needs sorting. We just keep at it and make sure our clients get what they need without any fuss. It is a simple, quiet way to run an export business.
