At Mithra Eye Care Lab, things stay pretty focused on the technical side of things. We are over at Plot No. 70 on 5th Street in Balakrishnapuram. Adambakkam is a decent area for us because it is quiet enough to get the work done without too much distraction. Most of the day is spent looking at lenses or adjusting equipment. We don’t have a big front desk or anything like that. It’s more of a workspace where we get the orders processed. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the morning fixing a calibration. It’s just part of the job. The street outside can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up, so we keep the windows shut most of the time. We’ve got a small crew here. Everyone knows what they are supposed to do. Sometimes we stay late when a big batch comes in. We try to keep things moving so nobody is waiting too long for their glasses. It’s not like those big corporate labs you see in the city. We do things our own way and it works out. If you walk down 5th street, you might miss us if you aren't paying attention to the plot numbers. We’ve been here long enough that the postman knows exactly where to drop the packages. It is just a regular lab doing regular work for people who need it without any extra fluff or fancy waiting rooms.
