Accurate Forge (P) Ltd.

We’ve been here at No. 25-A in the Guindy Industrial Estate for a long time now. It’s always noisy around here with the other shops, but that’s just how it goes in this part of town. Most days start early, before the sun gets too high and makes the shop floor too hot to handle comfortably. We do a lot of forging work, mostly hitting metal into the shapes people need. There’s a lot of dust and the machines need constant looking after so they don't break down right when we have a big pile of work waiting. It isn't fancy work, but it gets done. Someone usually brings in tea around mid-morning, which helps everyone stay focused. Most of us have been working these machines for years, so we know their quirks. Sometimes the power goes out or a delivery gets stuck in traffic because the roads in Guindy can get really packed, especially during the monsoon rains. We just manage the schedule as best as we can and keep the hammers moving. If you walk past our gate, you’ll hear the thumping sound of the presses. It's a steady rhythm that defines our whole day. We keep the floor as organized as possible, though metal scraps always seem to find their way into the corners. It's just the nature of the business. We don't spend much time in the office because the real work happens out back where the heat is. That's pretty much the story of Accurate Forge.
