Accent Control is situated in the Alsammal Complex at number 9A. We’re quite close to the Connemara Library in Egmore, which is a great landmark for anyone trying to find us. The complex is an older building, but it has a lot of character. We work on control systems and various technical projects from our office here. It’s a bit of a walk up the stairs, but once you’re inside, it’s a quiet place to get things done. We have benches set up with testing equipment and components scattered around. It’s definitely a workspace, not a showroom. We spend a lot of our time troubleshooting and making sure the logic in our systems is correct. There are usually three or four of us around, depending on who is out at a client site. We like being in Egmore because it’s central and easy to get to from most parts of the city. The library nearby is a nice place to walk past during a break. We’ve been in this office for years, and we’ve accumulated a lot of old manuals and spare parts that we probably should clear out one day. But for now, they’re just part of the scenery. We just keep our heads down and focus on the technical details of the jobs we take on. It is quiet, focused work that requires a lot of patience and some strong coffee.
