A To Z Electronic

We are located at 1B, Mohamed Hussain Sahib Street, just off Mount Road. It’s a small shop, but we try to keep it packed with all the different electronic parts people are looking for. The street outside is usually crowded with bikes and people walking to the bigger stores nearby. We’ve been here for quite a while, and most of the regulars know to come to us when they need something specific that the big retailers don't carry. The counters are always covered with testers and half-opened boxes. We spend our days troubleshooting small issues or helping customers find the right resistor or capacitor for their projects. It gets quite humid in Chennai, so the ceiling fan is always on its highest setting, though it doesn't do much. We don't have a computer system for our inventory; we just know where things are stored in the little drawers behind the counter. Sometimes a customer will come in with a broken radio or a circuit board and we’ll spend some time looking at it together. It’s a simple life. We open up in the morning, sweep the front, and start the day. There’s no big corporate strategy here. We just like electronics and we like being part of the neighborhood on Mohamed Hussain Sahib Street. It’s a bit messy and the lighting isn't the best, but we get the work done. The tea from the corner shop is good, and that's usually how we end our afternoons.
