A. S. Manickam & Co.

Our place is located at 26, Venkatachala Mudali Street in Park Town, which is always a bit of a chaotic area to be in. If you’ve ever walked down this street, you know how crowded it gets with people and carts moving everywhere. We’ve been squeezed into this spot for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit, but it serves us well enough. There’s a lot of history in these walls, even if the paint is peeling a little in the corners. We don’t really bother with making things look like a showroom. It’s mostly just desks, stacks of files, and people talking on the phone or shouting to someone in the back room. The tea seller comes by every morning around ten, and that’s usually when we take our first real break of the day. Park Town is loud, and sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard to hear ourselves think, but we wouldn’t really want to be anywhere else. It feels like the heart of the trade here. We know the neighbors, and they know us. A. S. Manickam & Co. isn’t some giant corporation with a glass lobby. We’re just a bunch of people working out of a crowded street in a busy part of town. Most days are long, and we usually leave when the sun is well down and the street lights are flicking on. It’s honest work and we just keep at it.
