Our business is located at 12 Veerasamy Street in the Park Town area. If you have ever spent time in this part of the city, you know how narrow and crowded the streets are. A Mohammed Sulaiman & Co has been operating from this same building for many years now. It’s an old neighborhood with a lot of character, and our office definitely shows its age in a way that we actually like. The walls are very thick, so it stays a bit cooler inside even when the Chennai heat is at its worst. We have stacks of old ledgers and papers almost everywhere because that is how we have always kept track of our business. It might look like a bit of a mess to someone just walking in, but we know exactly where every single paper is hidden. The noise from the nearby market is always there in the background, like a constant hum. We have people coming in and out all day long, mostly regulars who have been coming to see us for decades. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the news or the day's work. It’s a slow and steady pace here, and we don't have any interest in those modern offices. Everything is handled face-to-face or with a quick phone call. It’s just a regular business trying to keep things going in a very busy part of town.
