Our office is A K Davey & Co and we are situated at number 7 on Luckmudass Street. This is in the Park Town area of Chennai, postcode 600003. If you are trying to find us, just look for the Flower Bazaar Police Station. We are very close to that spot. Being near the flower bazaar means there is often a faint smell of jasmine or roses in the air, even through the city smog. The street is always packed with people and vehicles. Our office is just a regular room in an older building. We have the usual things like computers and fans and old wooden cupboards for storage. It is not a place for showing off. We just sit here and do what we need to do. Some days the heat makes us a bit slow, but we keep at it anyway. We don't have any polished speeches or big promises written on the walls. It is just a local business where we know our neighbors and the shopkeepers nearby. We have been in Park Town for a while. We know the shortcuts to avoid the worst of the traffic when we head home. Sometimes we share snacks in the afternoon when the work gets heavy. It is a plain and simple life here. We don't need anything more than a working desk and a decent lamp to get through the day.
