A John Moris & Co

Royapettah is a very busy part of Chennai, and that is where our office for A John Moris & Co is located. We are at No 5 on 1st Street in Lakshmipuram. It is very close to Deivasigamani Street. This neighborhood is old and has a lot of character, which we like. Our office is a bit old-fashioned as well, but it works for what we need to do. We spend our days going through accounts and various legal papers. The Chennai heat can be really tough during the middle of the year, so we keep the fans going and just get on with our tasks. It’s a small space and there are stacks of papers almost everywhere you look. We don’t really go for those modern paperless offices; we like having the physical files right there in front of us. There is always noise coming in from the street outside, with scooters zooming by and people talking. It keeps the atmosphere from being too quiet or dull. We have been in this building for many years, so we are familiar with all the local shopkeepers and the person who brings around the tea. We don’t do any big advertising or marketing. Most people find us by word of mouth or because they live nearby. It is a simple way of running things, but it has served us well. We just show up every morning, do the work, and try to help people with their problems. It’s just how we do things here.
