A. D. Exporters is located at No. 25 Muthu Vinayakar Street. We are just a short walk away from Raja Street, which is where most of the main action happens. Our building is an old one, and we use the ground floor for our operations. We handle a lot of shipping and moving goods to different places. There are always boxes and crates being packed up in the back. It’s a bit of a maze inside because we have so many things waiting to be sent out. The street outside is fairly quiet compared to Raja Street, which makes it easier for the small vans to pull up and load things. We’ve been in this trade for a long time. It’s mostly about keeping track of numbers and making sure the labels are right. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come in, you’ll probably see us with a tape dispenser or a marker pen in hand. The fans on the ceiling are always humming to keep the heat away. We have a small crew of guys who do the heavy lifting. We usually have tea together in the late morning when the first batch of packages is gone. It’s practical work. We don't do much in the way of talking, we just focus on the shipments. The neighborhood has changed a lot, but we have stayed in this same spot on Muthu Vinayakar Street.
