A C Swamy & Co is tucked away at number 330 on Thiruvottiyur High Road in Old Washermenpet. This part of town has so much history, and we have been a part of it for many years. The building is older, and the street is always packed with people and vehicles moving toward the harbor. We handle a lot of different things here, mostly focusing on cooling equipment and parts. It is a bit of a maze inside with all the shelves and spare components we have gathered over time. You might find us sitting behind the old wooden desk handling paperwork or out back checking the inventory. We don't use fancy software; we mostly just remember where everything is kept. The air in Washermanpet always feels a bit salty because we are so close to the coast, and that's why people's machines rust out so fast. We spend a lot of time explaining how to keep things running longer. It isn't a glamorous job, but it is what we do. The neighborhood knows us as the place to go when you need a specific part that nobody else stocks. We start early before the sun gets too high and usually stay late until the last delivery is sorted. It is just a family-style operation where everyone chips in. We don't have slogans. We just have a lot of parts and some tools. Sometimes we even have to tell people to just buy a new one instead of fixing it again.
