Signs & Sikas

Signs & Sikas is situated in Alleppey, specifically in the T.V.S Garden area near the over-bridge on M.C Road. It’s a nice spot, though the noise from the bridge can be a bit much sometimes. We have been making signs here for quite some time now. Our shop is a mix of different tools, some old and some new, all used for making boards and displays. I usually spend my morning checking the orders and making sure we have enough paint and vinyl for the day. Being in Alleppey means we have to deal with the rain quite often, which can make installing signs outdoors a bit of a challenge. We have to wait for a dry window to get the work done properly. It’s a small family-run business and we don't have any big corporate goals. We just like making things that look good and help people find what they are looking for. The shop isn't very big, so we often have to move things around to make space for larger projects. We have a few chairs out front where customers can sit and have a glass of water while we talk about their signs. It’s a relaxed atmosphere and we try not to overcomplicate things. We just do our best with every job that comes through the door and hope the weather stays clear. Usually, we end the day by washing our brushes and locking up the metal shutters.
