Yaamohaideen Goats Farm Private Limited

Our farm, Yaamohaideen Goats Farm Private Limited, is tucked away at No.65 on 5th Street in Ram Nagar, Mannivakkam. We are right behind St. Joseph School, so it’s pretty easy to find if you know the neighborhood. We’ve been raising goats here for a while now. It’s a family-style operation even though we have the private limited name. The goats need a lot of attention, so someone is always on-site. We start the chores early in the morning, cleaning out the stalls and getting the green fodder ready. It’s a lot of physical work and you definitely don't want to wear your good shoes around here. We don't use any fancy equipment, just the basic tools that have worked for years. The sounds of the school nearby and the goats make for a busy atmosphere during the day. We deal with people who want to buy livestock for different reasons, and we just tell them how it is. We don't have a big sales pitch. We just show them the animals and let them decide. Living and working in the same spot means the work never really stops. If a goat gets sick in the middle of the night, we’re out there. It’s just the way it goes when you’re responsible for living things. We like being part of the Mannivakkam community and just doing our part with the farm. It’s a decent life if you don't mind the hard work. We stay busy year-round.
