Walnut Traders

Started out here on G.S.T Road in Urapakkam quite a few years back. It’s a busy spot, especially with the traffic moving toward the city all day long. We’ve got the old number 37 and new number 16 signs on the door, which sometimes confuses the delivery drivers who are new to the area. Most people around here just know us by the name Walnut Traders and they drop in when they’re passing by. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a regular place where we keep things organized so we can find what’s needed without too much fuss. Usually, the morning starts with opening up the shutters and checking the stock that came in the night before. It gets a bit dusty with the road being so close, so there’s always cleaning to do. We spend a lot of time talking to the regulars who live around Urapakkam or the ones who stop their trucks nearby. It’s just me and a couple of others handling the day-to-day stuff. We don’t really do big advertising or anything like that. People find us because we’ve been at this same spot for a while now. If the fans are running and the lights are on, someone is here to help out. Sometimes it gets quiet in the afternoons when the sun is really hitting the front of the building, but things pick up again by evening. We just keep at it, making sure the orders are right.
