Vfx Animation College

In Mgm Nagar, over in Tiruvallur, our college sits in a spot that’s relatively quiet compared to the center of town. We are out here in Tamil Nadu. The college focuses on teaching people how to use computers for animation and visual effects. It is a bit of a different kind of place. Instead of just books, we have a lot of computer monitors and cables everywhere. The students spend a lot of time sitting in front of screens, working on their projects. Sometimes they stay quite late to finish things up. The building is simple. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but inside we have the labs set up for the work. It can get quite humid here, so we try to keep the rooms cool enough for the machines to run properly without overheating. There’s a small shop nearby where everyone goes to get tea and tiffin. Most of the people studying here are from the surrounding areas and they take the train or bus to get to Tiruvallur. We don’t really do any big events. It’s mostly just day-to-day work in the labs. The instructors are usually busy helping someone fix a mistake in their software or showing them a new way to move a character on the screen. It is a practical place where people come to learn a specific skill so they can find work later on in the city. The keyboards click all day. There is always something rendering on the screens.
