This is the Srm Medical College Hospital & Research Center located in SRM Nagar, Potheri. It’s a big site where we do both medical treatment and research work. Having the research side means we often have people looking into different ways of doing things while the hospital side handles the patients. It’s a bit of a mix. The campus in Kattankulathur is quite large, and we are right in the middle of it. You’ll see a lot of students around because of the college aspect. They are learning how things work while the senior doctors manage the wards. It’s a place of learning as much as it is a place for treating people. We have labs, lecture halls, and plenty of hospital beds. The atmosphere is usually busy, with a lot of movement between the different buildings. We’ve been here in Potheri for quite some time, so we’ve seen the area grow up around us. It isn't always the quietest place to be, but that is what you expect from a center like this. We handle a huge volume of paperwork and patient records every single day. Our staff is a mix of experienced people and those just starting out. We don't use a lot of marketing talk; we just focus on the daily tasks. It’s about making sure the research gets done and the patients are looked after. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we just take it one day at a time here. That’s how we operate.
