Srm Medical College And Hospital

This is the medical college and hospital out in Kattankulathur, specifically in the Srm Nagra area of Potheri. It is a big place. We have students learning to be doctors and nurses alongside the actual hospital work. It gets very busy because of all the people living in the hostels and the surrounding villages. You can find us right in the heart of the campus. There are always people moving around, students carrying books, and patients arriving at all hours. We have a lot of different wings for different types of medicine. It’s a lot to manage, but we’ve been at it for a good while. The location in Potheri makes it a main point for medical stuff in this part of the district. We don't really go for fancy talk; we just have a lot of beds and a lot of classrooms. Some days are more organized than others, depending on how many people show up at the emergency entrance. We have a canteen, some garden spaces, and a lot of hallways that all look the same if you aren't used to them. Living and working out here in Kattankulathur means we see a mix of city people and folks from the more rural spots. It’s a practical place. We focus on the teaching and the treating. It’s a long day for most of us, starting early and ending late. That’s just the reality of running a hospital and a college at the same time. We keep things going. It is what it is.
