Sri Ramanujam Herbal Siddha Clinic

The clinic is over on PillayarKoil Street, right in the heart of Sambathkumar Nagar. You can usually find Sri Ramanujam Herbal Siddha Clinic pretty easily because of the shops nearby in Chinna Ekkadu. Inside, it smells like dried herbs and powders most of the time. It’s a small place, nothing too big or flashy, just a few rooms where we keep all the Siddha medicines. We spend a lot of our morning sorting through different jars and making sure everything is in its right place. The street outside can get quite noisy with bikes and people walking by to the temple, but once you step inside it feels a bit different. We have old wooden shelves filled with various roots and plant-based things we use. It’s a simple setup. One of us is usually at the front desk writing down names in a big ledger book while people wait their turn. Most of our visitors are from right here in the neighborhood. They’ve been coming here for years, often bringing their kids or parents along. We don’t have those fancy digital screens or anything like that. Just some chairs, a desk, and the medicine we prepare. It’s a practical way to run things. We focus on getting the right herbs ready for whoever needs them that day. It’s a steady pace of work that keeps us busy from the time we open the shutters until we close up at night.
