Medavakkam has grown a lot lately, but our little corner in United India Colony still feels somewhat quiet. Our office is a simple setup on the plot where we manage our global export and import tasks. It’s mostly just us handling the paperwork and coordinating with the transport guys. We don’t have a flashy storefront or a big marketing department. It’s just a place with computers, a couple of fans, and a lot of documents piled up on the desks. We spend the day talking to people on the phone and sending out emails to track shipments. Sometimes the rain makes the roads around here a bit muddy, but we manage to keep things moving. We aren’t some big faceless corporation; we’re just a small team of people who know each other well. We like the fact that we can work in a place that’s a bit away from the heavy city traffic. Most of us live nearby, so it’s a short trip to get to the office. We just take things one day at a time, making sure the goods get moved and our clients are handled decently. There is usually some noise from the neighbors, but it helps the day go by faster while we sort out the logistics. It is mostly about getting home on time and knowing we did a good job with the shipments.
