Working at Larsen & Toubro Ltd. Ecc over here on Mount Poonamalle Road in Porur feels like being in the middle of everything. It’s a big site, and there’s always something going on. Between the dust from the road and the constant movement of people, it never stays quiet for long. We’re not the type to sit around in suits all day; most of us are more comfortable in work boots and gear. The Porur area has changed a lot since we’ve been here, with more buildings popping up all the time. Our office is busy, filled with plans, blueprints, and a lot of coffee. We handle the engineering and construction stuff that actually builds things. It’s not always pretty, and sometimes things don’t go exactly to plan, but that’s just the nature of construction. We spend a lot of time on our feet or stuck in traffic trying to get to different sites. It’s a practical environment where the focus is on the next slab of concrete or the next structural beam. We don't bother with fancy talk. We just want to make sure the job is done and the structures are standing. It’s heavy work, and it takes a lot out of you, but it’s what we know how to do best. The phones ring constantly and there is always a truck idling somewhere nearby, making the floor vibrate a little bit.
