Lakshmi Motors is situated at No. 1/1 on Reddy Street. This is in the Thirukazhukundram area. If you are familiar with the streets around here, Reddy Street is a pretty busy spot. We’ve been at this location for many years. We deal with motors and vehicles, so there is usually a lot of oil and parts around the shop. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but it’s a working garage. We have a couple of mechanics who have been with us for a long time. They know their way around an engine better than anyone. The shop itself is just a big open space with some tools and benches. We don't have a fancy waiting room with air conditioning. People usually just stand around and talk while we look at their machines. Thirukazhukundram is a place with a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of it. We don't spend money on big ads or billboards. Most of our customers come here because their father or their neighbor told them to. We just try to fix things and get them back on the road. The days are long and often hot, but we enjoy the work. Reddy Street can get dusty when the wind picks up, but that’s just how it is. We are just a local motor shop doing our thing and we try to do it right every single day we are open. People know they can find us here if their bike or car is giving them trouble.
