We’ve been running Highvoltage Step N Smash Badminton Academy (Opc) Private Limited for a while now over here at Plot No - 43/7 Neruji Street. It is right in the Durganagar area near Tambaram Santorium. Most people around Chennai know the spot. We mostly focus on getting the court ready every morning because it gets quite busy once school finishes. It's a bit of a walk from the main road but the space we have in Kancheepuram works for us. Usually, the lights are on until late because people just want to keep playing their sets. It is not a very fancy place, just a regular building where we try to keep the floors clean and the nets tight. Being in Tamil Nadu, the weather stays hot, so the fans are always going. Sometimes the humidity makes the grip on the rackets a bit slippery but everyone just plays through it. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the regulars who show up every day after work. The neighborhood is quiet except for the sound of the birds and the shuttles hitting the floor. It’s funny how a small street like Neruji Street became such a hub for the local players. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us making sure things don't fall apart. It is mostly about the sport and having a place for the community to show up. We are glad to be here at 600047.
