Freelance Lecturer

I’m based out of 111 N.G.G.O. Nagar in Chengalpattu. It’s a quiet area in the Kancheepuram district of Tamil Nadu. Being a freelance lecturer means I spend a lot of my time preparing notes and reading up on different subjects. My home office is where all the planning happens. It’s not some grand institution; it’s just me and my books and a laptop. I’ve lived in this 603001 area for a long time, so I know the streets pretty well. Sometimes I travel out to different colleges, but a lot of the heavy lifting happens right here at my desk. The walls are lined with papers and textbooks I've collected over the years. Some are getting quite old now. The neighborhood is mostly families, so you hear the usual sounds of kids playing and people going about their business outside. It’s a decent place to focus. I don't have a big team or fancy equipment. It’s just about sharing knowledge and helping students understand things a bit better. Sometimes I lose track of time when I'm working on a lecture. The tea stall down the road is my usual break spot when I need to clear my head. It’s a simple life, really. I do my research, write my notes, and try to stay organized. People around Chengalpattu might see me walking around with a bag full of papers. That’s just how it goes when you work for yourself in education.
