Ford India Ltd.

Ford India Ltd. is situated down at S.P. Koil Post in the Chengal area of Pattu. It is a massive site and there is always something moving somewhere. We have a lot of people working here in different sections, and the scale of the place can be a bit overwhelming if you are new. Most of our day is spent making sure the operations are running without too many hiccups. There is a lot of noise from the machinery and the trucks that come in to drop off parts or pick up finished goods. Chengal can get incredibly hot during the summer, so the work can be quite draining. We all just wear our regular work clothes and try to stay hydrated. We don't really have time for big speeches or corporate slogans because there is always a deadline to meet or a machine that needs checking. The people who work here are mostly from around the Pattu area, so we all know the local spots to grab a bite after work. It is a very practical environment where the focus is on the physical work right in front of us. Sometimes things go wrong and we have to stay late to fix a problem, but that is just how it is in a place this big. We don't try to make it sound like anything other than what it is, which is a lot of people working hard together in a big plant.
