Working out of C.Pallavaram means dealing with GST Road every single day. If you’ve ever been near No.7/429 or 430, you know exactly what I’m talking about. The noise from the vehicles is constant and loud. At Djn Beverages Private Limited, we’ve gotten used to the sound of horns and engines in the background while we work. It’s a busy stretch of Chennai, and our place is right in the thick of it. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of crates moving and the hum of the cooling units. We don’t have much time for sitting around or chatting. Usually, there’s someone at the door or a phone ringing about a delivery that should have been there ten minutes ago. It’s dusty because of all the road construction nearby, so we spend a fair bit of time just sweeping the floors to keep the place decent. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We’re just a bunch of people running a beverage business on a very busy road. Most days, we’re just focused on making sure the inventory is right and the trucks get out on time. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to scramble to keep things moving, but that’s just how it goes here. Lunch is usually something quick from a nearby mess. We don’t have a big fancy office with glass walls. It’s a practical space where real work happens. By the time the sun goes down, we’re all pretty tired, but we’ll be back here doing the same thing tomorrow morning.
