We are based on the first floor at 107/A on Dharga Road, right in the Zamin Pallavaram area of Chennai. It’s a noisy street with plenty of traffic, but it keeps us on our toes. Running Bee Seaair Exports involves a lot of looking at schedules for planes and ships. We spend half our day on the phone with people at the port or the airport. The office has big windows, but mostly we just see the busy road outside. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy paperwork done early in the morning when it’s cooler. It’s a lot of coordination and sometimes things don’t go as planned, like a flight being late or a truck getting stuck in traffic. We don’t have any fancy corporate speeches. We just come in, drink some tea, and start calling the agents. It’s a practical job that requires a lot of patience. If you come by, you’ll probably hear three different conversations going on at once about weights and measures. It’s just how we operate. We stay until the last ship is tracked and the day's tasks are done.
