Amai Design Lab Private Limited

Our place, Amai Design Lab Private Limited, is at No 4 in Vijayalakshmi Nagar, which is over in Kolapakkam. It is a bit further out from the main city center, which makes it a lot quieter than the busy hubs like T Nagar or Alwarpet. The area is still developing, so you see a lot of new construction around the neighborhood. Our office is a simple house-like structure that we have converted into a workspace. It feels more like a home than a traditional office, which we actually prefer. We have our computers set up in the main room, and we spend our hours working on various design projects. There isn't a lot of foot traffic around here, so we don't get many distractions. Occasionally, a neighbor’s dog will bark or you’ll hear a delivery bike go by. We take our time with the work and try to get the details right. Lunch is usually something we bring from home and eat together in the small kitchen area. It is a very low-key environment. We don't have any corporate protocols or fancy meetings. We just wake up, head to Vijayalakshmi Nagar, and start on whatever is on the list for that day. It is a relaxed way to run a design lab, and it suits the way we like to live and work. Kolapakkam is a peaceful spot for us to keep things moving along without much noise.
