Balaji Bhandar

We’ve been running Balaji Bhandar here in Sonapur for a while now. Most people know where we are because we’re right near the Belguri Lower Primary School in Bijni Gaon. It’s a quiet area, and we mostly see the same faces every day. People stop in when they’re picking up their kids or just passing through. We keep a variety of things on the shelves, mostly stuff people need for their daily lives. It’s not a huge place, just a regular shop where you can find what you’re looking for without much fuss. Sometimes it gets a bit busy in the mornings when the school starts, but otherwise, it’s pretty steady. We try to keep things organized, though boxes sometimes pile up in the corners when a new delivery comes in. If you live around Bijni Gaon, you probably already know how to get here. We don’t do anything fancy with the store layout. It’s just shelves and counters. We talk to the neighbors, hear the local news, and just keep the doors open for whoever needs something. It’s a simple way of working. Sometimes the weather makes it slow, like when it rains hard and the road gets messy, but we’re usually here. We just focus on keeping the stock ready so nobody has to go too far for their basic supplies. It’s just us doing our part in the village, making sure the locals have a place nearby to get what they need.
