Shamsad Paint Palace

Down here at Kaithamukku, we’ve got Shamsad Paint Palace. It is located right at 1/261 262, and we have been around this part of Venkitangu for quite some time. The shop is full of cans and brushes. If you’ve walked past the Padoor area, you probably know where we are. It gets a bit dusty with all the mixing and moving things around, but that is how a paint shop should be, I think. We spend most of our mornings unloading crates and checking the stock. People come in looking for a specific shade for their front door or maybe just some basic white for a ceiling. We don't have those fancy computerized displays you see in the big city malls. We just know our colors and what works on different walls. My shirt usually has a few spots of dried paint on it by lunchtime. It is a family thing, really. We talk to the neighbors, hear about their house repairs, and give them what they need. Some days the sun hits the front of the shop and it gets really warm inside, so we keep the fan going all day. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in the world, just the one where you can get a bucket of paint without any fuss. It’s a quiet life in Padoor, and we like being a part of it here at the palace. The floor is stained with spills from over the years, which gives the place some character.
