Krishna Rice Mills

Krishna Rice Mills is out here in Village Phoolpur. If you're looking for us, we are in Tehsil Pindra, right near the police station. It's a good spot because everyone knows where the station is. The sound of the machines is pretty much constant during the harvest season. It’s loud, but it’s the sound of work getting done. We take the raw paddy from the farmers around the village and turn it into rice. It’s dusty work, and you end up with husks in your hair, but we've been doing it for years. My father started this place, and I just took over when he retired. We haven't changed much since then. The machines are old but they still run fine if you treat them right. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just bring their tractors and carts full of grain to our gate. We talk, we weigh the load, and we get to work. It’s a very local thing. Most of the people working here live just down the road. We know all the families in Phoolpur. Sometimes we have to wait for parts to come from the city when something breaks, which is a pain. But mostly, we just keep the mill turning. It’s a simple way to make a living. We value the relationships we've built with the farmers over the years. We just try to provide a reliable place for them to bring their harvest every season.
