Naya Savera Welfare Foundation

Naya Savera Welfare Foundation is based out of Village Kumhari, over in the Chatra area. If you’re looking for us, we are at the home of Mamta Devi. The post office is Narchahi, and that is where most of our letters go. We’ve been working in this part of Jharkhand for a bit, focusing on welfare work for the folks around the village. It is a quiet place, mostly farming and small shops. Mamta Devi was kind enough to let us use her place as a base. It’s not a big office building with glass windows. It is just a regular village house where we sit and talk about what the community needs. Sometimes we meet under the trees if the weather is good. Being in Chatra means we see a lot of the same faces every day, which is how we like it. We know the families and they know us. There isn't any fancy equipment here, just some chairs and a lot of talk about how to help people get by. We think it’s better to be right here in the village instead of some big city office far away. It helps us see the real problems people are facing. We are just a small group trying to make a little bit of a new morning, like the name Naya Savera says, for the people in Kumhari who might need a hand with something.
