Gope Contractors (Opc) Private Limited is based in Chatra, specifically at the Line Mohalla in Gwal Toli. We are located at Kanhaiya Gope’s place. Since this is an OPC, it’s a bit of a smaller, more personal operation. We handle contracting work, which means a lot of time spent on-site making sure everything is moving along. Chatra is a place where everybody knows your name, so we have to be careful about doing a good job. We don’t have a big staff, so the person you talk to on the phone is usually the same person you’ll see at the work site. Our office in Gwal Toli is where we keep the records and handle the business side of things, but we’re rarely there during the day. We are usually out checking on materials or talking to the workers. It’s a lot of responsibility, but it’s okay because we like being busy. We’ve had some tough projects in the past, but we always managed to find a way through them. We don't use any fancy management software or anything like that. We just use a notebook and some common sense. If you’re looking for us, the Line Mohalla area is pretty easy to find. We’ve lived here for a long time and plan on staying here, so we just focus on the work right in front of us and try to get it done properly.
