If you're ever in Jhumri Ttelaiya, you might find your way onto Shyam Baba Path. That’s where Daruka Minerals is located, right on I.M.S. Road. It’s a busy part of town. There is always someone walking by or a bike zooming past. Our place isn't anything special to look at from the outside. It’s just a doorway among many others. Inside, it’s mostly just us trying to keep track of the mineral loads and the shipping schedules. Jhumri Ttelaiya is a place with a lot of history in this industry, and we are just one small part of it. The office gets a bit hot in the summer because the old fan doesn't spin as fast as it used to. We don't really mind though. We are more focused on getting the orders filled and making sure the trucks are on their way. There’s a lot of shouting back and forth to be heard over the street noise. We don't have a mission statement or a bunch of goals written on the wall. We just have a calendar and a phone that rings more than it should. It’s a simple life on Shyam Baba Path. We've been here for a good while and we know the other business owners on the road. We just do our bit and try to keep things moving along. It's just a steady way of living for us.
