Our shop, Schmiede And Maschinen Private Limited, is located at 11A/28A in the industrial area of Bokaro Steel City. Being out here in Chas means we are surrounded by a lot of heavy metal and smoke from the surrounding plants. It’s an honest place to work, even if it gets a bit dusty on the dry days. We’ve got the machines set up in a way that makes sense for the floor space we have. There isn't much room for a big lounge or anything. Most of the time, the guys are busy with the equipment, and the floor is covered in metal shavings or oil spots that we try to clean up at the end of the shift. The address can be a bit confusing for delivery drivers since all the plots look the same in this part of Bokaro, but we are right there in the middle of the block. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy stuff for us. It’s just us doing the job every day. The office is just a small corner where we keep the invoices and the computer. Sometimes the power flickers, but we just wait it out and get back to it. It’s a loud environment, but you get used to the rhythm of the machines after a while. We show up early, do the work, and head home to our families in Chas. It is what it is.
