Rk Automart is over at Plot No.35B in the Adarsh Co-Operative Housing Society. It is in the Chas area of Bokaro. Being inside a housing society makes it a bit different than being on a main highway or a noisy market. It is a bit quieter here, which is nice for us. We handle various automotive needs and parts for cars. I set this up after working for other people for a long time. I wanted my own place where I could do things my way. The office is really just a room with some shelves and a computer that is a bit slow. We don't have a big staff. It is mostly me and a couple of guys who know their way around an engine. We get a lot of people from the society coming in, but also folks from across Bokaro. Word of mouth is how we get most of our work these days. We aren't interested in being a huge dealership with fancy lights. We just want to provide what the local drivers need. Sometimes the parts take a while to arrive from the distributors in the city, and we just have to be patient. I spend a lot of time on the phone tracking down specific items. It’s a lot of little details to manage. We try to keep the place organized, but with car parts, that is easier said than done. It’s a steady life and we like being part of the community in Chas.
