Sahaj Collection

Our little shop, Sahaj Collection, is easy to find if you know where the post office in Jhojhu Kalan is. We are right next to it, which is handy for people who are already out doing their errands. It’s a small place, really. We spend most of our mornings unpacking boxes and trying to figure out where to hang everything so it doesn't look too crowded. The shelves are usually full of different fabrics and ready-made things that folks around here like to wear. Sometimes the afternoon gets quiet, so we just sit by the door and watch the people going in and out of the post office. It’s not a big corporate store with bright lights and fancy music. We just have a couple of ceiling fans that creak a bit when they’re on high. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we know most of the people who walk through the door. It’s nice to talk about the weather or local news while someone looks at the new arrivals. Jhojhu Kalan is a place where everyone kind of knows everyone else. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, the piles of clothes get a bit messy. We don't mind. It just means people are looking. We stay open until the sun goes down and then we lock up and head home. It’s just a normal shop run by normal people.
